A Piece Story Of Srivijaya

History of the Kingdom of Srivijaya undeniably be a very historic pieces for Indonesia. For those who has a chance to come to Palembang, South Sumatra, set aside a moment to browse through the greatness of the Kingdom of Srivijaya in some places over there. One of them in the Archaeological Park of Sriwijaya or who are often called TPKS. The place that was inaugurated in 1994 is built on Karang Anyar archaeological. Inaugural itself is marked with the laying back replica Kedukan Bukit marked a milestone in the birth of the Kingdom of Srivijaya. Trace its history, the kingdom founded by Ki Gede Ing Suro has an important role in Southeast Asia in the seventh century until the tenth century. Mentioned that one of the factors that make the kingdom can survive for so long is because the kingdom is led by a figure who put the interest of the people, uniting the nation, wise, and devout.

The greatness of Srivijaya also seen from one of its leaders, Dapunta Hyang, which is involved in the conquest of Bhumi Java. Dapunta Hyang recorded in the inscription 'Kedukan Bukit', dated June 16th 682 AD, to travel with a spectacular number of troops in his time, namely by bringing 20,000 troops through the waters and 1,312 by land, as well as with the 200 crate supplies. Meanwhile, the inscription 'Persumpahan Kota Kapur' obtained information that the inscription was made when Srivijaya troops are traveling to conquered Bhumi Java. Dapunta Hyang journey's is a testament that Srivijaya is a formidable maritime nations. In fact, the ability to survive to 300 years is believed to be due to the ability of controlled waters.

In TPKS neighborhood's located in the region of Tangga Buntung, there are three locations that can be visited namely the main building in which to save a few relics of the Kingdom of Srivijaya, including a replica of boats used in those days; Pendopo Agung (Great Hall) is used for purposes of exhibition, seminars, and so forth. Meanwhile, not far from there, there is a bog that supposedly used to be important water buildings at early in the Kingdom of Srivijaya. It was here found some relics such as pottery.
